SUBMIT A FILM
Submitting your film to the first MUNDIAL Film Festival is simple. We’re looking for bold, original work from filmmakers everywhere - whether you’re shooting on a cinema camera or a borrowed phone. Before you enter, take a few minutes to read through the guidelines below to make sure your film meets the criteria. When you’re ready, share your screening link and details with us, and we’ll take it from there.

BEFORE YOU ENTER
Who can enter, how to submit, and the basics you need to know.
- Open to residents of the UK, Ireland, and the US aged 18+
- One entry per person (joint submissions allowed as one entry)
- Entries must be original work and owned by the filmmaker(s)
- No AI-generated, bulk, or fraudulent submissions
- Late or incomplete submissions won’t be accepted
KEY DATES
- Submissions open: 8th June
- Submissions close: 8th July 2026 18:00 BST
- Winners will be contacted shortly after the closing date
- Selected films will be screened during the Mundial Film Festival in New York as part of House of Goal
- Festival screenings are planned for the week of 13–19 July 2026
FILM GUIDELINES
- Films must be between 3 and 15 minutes long
- Films should be submitted via a private or unlisted Vimeo or YouTube link
- Films must be in English or include English subtitles
- If selected, you'll need to provide your film as an MP4 file
- Films must not have been publicly screened, exhibited, or entered into other festivals previously
- You must own or have permission to use all music, footage, imagery, and other materials included in your film
HOW FILMS ARE SELECTED
How entries will be reviewed.
Our judging panel will assess films across three areas:
- Narrative Depth - stories that explore football's impact on people, relationships, and communities
- Creative Expression - originality, perspective, and storytelling craft
- Impact & Resonance - how effectively the film connects with and moves an audience
Films with the highest overall scores will be shortlisted and considered for selection.
IF YOUR FILM IS SELECTED
What happens if your film makes the final cut.
- Selected films will be screened at the Mundial Film Festival
- Winning films may also be featured across Mundial platforms
- US-based winners may be invited to attend the screening and take part in discussions, subject to availability
- Travel, accommodation, and other associated costs are not included
- Screening format and presentation will be determined by Mundial
RIGHTS & USAGE
What happens to your film after submission.
- You retain ownership of your film
- By entering, you grant Mundial permission to showcase, feature, and promote your film in connection with the festival
- Selected films may be featured across Mundial websites, channels, and promotional materials
- Any use of your film will remain non-exclusive, meaning you continue to own and control your work
