Under Armour are striding further and further into the world of football boots, and we’re pretty glad. Yesterday, they released a brand-new signature edition of Memphis Depay’s Spotlight boots, Block Out The Noise. They’re mad. Obviously.
Developed with his infamous celebration in mind, they’re designed with a jagged, pixel pattern of static encompassing the whole boot from blades to tongue. The result is certainly eye-catching. They’re a brooding, thunderstorm whirring around the pitch. Memphis is intent on “blocking out all the hate and opinions that don’t matter to [his] game”, and yeah, these boots make the point emphatically.
Under Armour may focus on Steph Curry, Tom Brady, and the lads but, with this sharp new lick of paint for Memphis, it looks like they’re going to be bursting onto the football scene more and more.
Probably helps that they’ve got a juggernaut of a striker weaving around in them, doesn’t it?
Watch out for these.
