Lack of Guidance have paid tribute to Ajax’s young Champions League heroes with their latest design.

Ahead of their quarterfinal showdown with Juventus on 10 April, the Amsterdam streetwear brand have delved into the club’s history to bring a football twist to one of their classic long sleeves.

In tribute to the youth policy that has fared Ajax so well over the years, the front features an update to the School of Excellence badge sported by the club during the 1997-98 season. Just two years previously, in 1995, a team featuring a host of former Ajax Academy players had won the Champions League final against an imperious AC Milan team. That’s no small beer.

The back of the long sleeve pays homage to that side by featuring the full squad of players that started the match, including scorer of the winning goal, Patrick Kluivert. Alongside the class of ‘95, sits the team that beat Real Madrid 4–1 in the Bernabéu. Beneath both squads is the average age of each side, with the current crop standing at 23.4 years old. Madness.

As usual, these longsleeves are incredibly limited and are available from the Lack Of Guidance online store from 1pm today.
