Trent Alexander-Arnold now has the most lucrative boot deal at Liverpool thanks to his new £6.4 million contract with American sportswear brand Under Armour.
At a reported £1.6 million per year for the next four years, this would earn him considerably more money via his boot deal than his team-mate Virgil van Dijk. As well as taking him to the top of the Liverpool earnings charts, the deal will put Alexander-Arnold second in the England boot sponsor charts, just behind Harry Kane.
Trent is looking to use his newfound millions to regenerate parts of the city where he grew up, according to the Liverpool Echo. In the summer, Alexander-Arnold and his representatives will be looking to buy plots of land on which to build football pitches. He wants to do it so that local players will get the opportunity to take the same pathway to the Liverpool first team that he did, and aims to achieve it by providing them with the best facilities possible. What a nice young man.
Trent told the Echo “I'm just fortunate to play for my boyhood club and for people to be able to see that dreams can come true, hopefully the younger people in the city see it too.” He said, “I saw Gerrard and Carragher do it when I was young. I always wanted to be them. The aim is for more young Scousers to come through the Academy and do the same."
