Next week, we’ll be in Manchester with our mates Classic Football Shirts to present ‘95’—an exhibition celebrating the influence of Umbro in football on the brand’s 95th anniversary.
We’ll be there from Monday 8th April to Sunday 14th, from 9am until 6pm, showcasing our curated deep-dive into the Double Diamond’s extensive back catalogue of classic gear, and telling the story of the brand from the early days of the Humphreys Brothers operating out of a room above their mum’s pub in Wilmslow to outfitting five World Cup-winning sides and beyond.
There’ll be loads of rare archive jerseys and jackets on show, alongside great photos and the stories behind some of your favourite shirts, old brochures and adverts, and some genuine blink-and-you’ll-miss-it limited edition merch on the go. There might even be some beers knocking around if you turn up on opening night (which will be kicking off at 5pm and running until late), and something special happening on Wednesday...
Come say hello, and revel in the extensive history and bright future of Britain’s most authentic sportswear brand.
The ‘95’ exhibition is free to enter and will run from Monday 8th of April to Sunday 14th April at 23a Princess Street, Manchester, M2 4EN.
