BAPE’S COLLAB WITH F.C. REAL BRISTOL IS THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES
Words: Ludovico Romagnoli
Looking to give your wardrobe a bewildering upgrade? These nightmare-fuelled mannequins are sporting some of the highly-anticipated gear from BAPE’s latest collab with Tokyo-based F.C. Real Bristol.
After teasing the joint release earlier this month, the brands have unveiled the entire collection online. The line-up includes hoodies, trackies, jackets, shorts, and even a branded rubber duck to keep you company in the bath after a freezing 0–0 away trip to Blackburn. Good stuff.
The Japanese duo have teamed up to create what they describe as an “epoch-making collaboration” based on football supporters’ wear. It combines the footballing essence of F.C. Real Bristol while integrating BAPE’s signature motifs... camouflage and sharks.
BAPE’s camo is masterfully fused in most of the pieces, highlighted through a rainbow colouration in the white kits. Just think of that cool as fuck ape chilling on your chest while you get stormed into a wall by four lads from Loughborough University at fives. Pair of Ray-Bans on. No emotion. An ape of few words. Ready for whatever life throws at it. Except four lads. It won’t make you any better, but you’ll look incredible.
The collection includes a handful of nifty T-shirts you can wear on any occasion this spring. Pub? Multi camo college tee. Last home game of the season? White shark tee. Taking your mate from your home town around London? Back emblem tee. There’s one for everyone, and they are mint.
The BAPE x FCRB capsule collection drops online March 23 and in any of BAPE’s Japanese stores if you happen to be visiting East Asia this week.
