ADIDAS CELEBRATE 25 YEARS OF PREDATOR WITH TWO NEW BOOTS
Words: Josh Millar
adidas are celebrating 25 years of the Predator boot with a new pack based on those worn by two of their most celebrated footballers of the last two decades. David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane have each been given an Archive Pack that includes their most iconic footwear. They’re both absolutely phenomenal.
The Zidane ‘98 Accelerators are gold, paying tribute to the Frenchman’s Ballon d’Or win in 1998. The colour makes up the majority of the k-leather upper alongside the Accelerator classic red, white, and blue. The boots also come with four sets of laces in gold, navy, white, and red. Just in case you lose one set on the way to fives.
The David Beckham Archive Pack will take you back to 2001 with an excellent revamp of Becks’ Predator Precision boots from the same year. The iconic red tongue will make you think of *that* free kick against Greece and all those whipped corners waiting to be headed and crossfield laser balls waiting to be cushioned as you cannon it over the fence again. Up to you to choose either the red or white laces to top them off.
Both reiterations of the Archive Pack Predators are available as boot and trainer options, as well as a throwback shirt, jersey, and tracksuit bottom that hark back to Becks and Zidane’s time at Real Madrid in the 03/04 season. Ace.
The Archive Pack isn’t for pro footballers, which means you’ll be able to relive the late nineties/early noughties from now ‘til forever with both these boots. Go and treat yourself; you’re worth it.
