So Nike Football asked us along to ‘Sussex by the Sea’ for the Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United match, they let us go everywhere, and it was a lot of fun.

We got to go in the changing room (very very nice), walk in the tunnel (pretended we were players), set the new Merlin ball and plinth up (pretended to be the ref), and sat with the photographers pitchside during the match (in spitting distance of the goal that Brighton racked up their three goals in). Inevitably the focus in the media was on how bad the visitors were, but seeing them at such close quarters it was obvious Brighton were brilliant in every aspect and were fully deserving of the victory. Such was their dominance over the most successful club in Premier League history; it’s easy to forget that just over twenty years ago Brighton were on the verge of going out of the Football League and becoming homeless. They are one of the game’s good stories and here’s a few more pics of what was a special day for a special club.
