Featuring 258 young Londoners alongside some of the biggest, coolest and most talented names in the capital, Nike have just dropped their “Nothing Beats a Londoner” film, and it’s bloody great. With Skepta in an offie after a long day, British 100m record holder Dina Asher-Smith running the streets, Mo Farah chilling by your bedroom window, Alex Iwobi getting a trim, Giggs asking you what’s wrong with Peckham, and Gareth Southgate as God almighty himself, it’s an absolute romp from start to finish whilst showcasing the city at it’s gritty, vivid, euphoric best. It makes you want to run. It makes you want to play. It makes you want to hang out with Skepta on one of those naff Santander bikes.
Alongside their NAIJA, England, and Mercurial releases, Nike are having a pretty good week. Pretty damn good indeed.
